He was serving a sentence for a Florida car crash in August last year that left his best friend John Graziano with permanent brain injuries.
All told, he served about five and a half months. His passenger and best friend will be left in a permanent vegatative state, and will need complete medical care for what passes as the rest of his life.
According to the article, Nick Hogan wants to "do good" for the rest of his life. For one thing, he can make sure that not only will Mr. Graziano's medical bills are taken care of, but also that the Graziano family will be financially compensated for the loss of their son.
